Why Firewise

While Eastern Washington is home to a thriving abundance of mixed conifers and enjoys much more sunlight than areas West of the Cascade Mountain Range, the lack of rain and dense forests make Chelan County and the surrounding area prone to extreme fire danger. Our crew has the tools and experience necessary to help create a defensible space around your home.

Defensible Space

A defensible space is a buffer created between the structures on your property and the combustible fuels surrounding it, with the goal of improving your home's chance of surviving a wildfire. Instead of clear cutting the woods around your home however, we selectively remove underbrush, saplings, and low branches to make your property safer while preserving the forested feel living in of Eastern Washington.

Certified Arborist

Owner Grey Tampa is an ISA Certified Arborist with years of experience in both fire fuels reduction and hazard tree removals, and one of the only professionals in our small community to hold that credential. He took the company carbon neutral in an effort to mitigate the impact of the fossil fuels our crew burns as a necessary part of our job. With a Certified Arborist on staff, you can be certain that your trees and your property will be in the most capable of hands.

Our Team

We love trees. And we love working outside in the Upper Valley to help our neighbors keep their property safe from wildfire. Our team has the skills and experience to help you find a Firewise solution for your home. Our customers know we're enthusiastic about our work and that we're one of the happiest tree crews anywhere!

Carbon Neutral

Chainsaws were a brilliant invention and a tool that we use every day in our line of work. Unfortunately they consume fossil fuels like so much of the other equipment required to perform fire fuels reduction. That's why we've partnered with Carbonfund and committed a portion of our revenue to support reforestation and other projects that promote global climate change solutions to provide us with cleaner air and energy.
